T.ED is a complex application that can be used for the design of 3D outdoor worlds, offering a generous collection of interesting textures and terrains that users may change and adapt so that they come to the results they need.
The application supports and allows for the creation and development of two types of terrains usually found in games: mesh terrains and dynamic terrains. The former is a static terrain on which users may add different objects such as trees or buildings. It consists of lumps and bumps that can be modified in a variety of ways by using the available options of the application. The latter type is a moving terrain which gradually changes the details displayed on it. The manner in which users can technically design, reshape and alter these terrains is almost impossible to describe as the possibilities are endless.
As for the interface, it constantly offers tips to facilitate easy access to the main functions of the tool, allowing less experienced users to easily navigate through its options.
All in all, T.ED is a valuable tool dedicated especially to game designers and 3D artists that can benefit a great deal from exploring its functions and its default resources. Offering both default terrains ready to work on, as well as the possibility to import new ones from various sources, the tool becomes valuable for the creation of realistic worlds with vivid colors and rich textures.
